Douglas is passionate about the role of young people in development. He has been working to give youth a platform on which they can be heard. He believes that with their passion, resilience and creativity, young people can change the world for the better. Mr. Otieno studied Community Health and Development at Great Lakes University of Kisumu (GLUK). He is the founder and the of TINADA Youth Organization (TiYO).

He has been a community work for 10 years and has a vast experience in Community Development work areas of youth Empowerment Programs, Project Design and management, community/ resource Mobilization and trainings. Success is when Douglas sees a project successfully take off from start to finish but most of all seeing people’s lives changed and being able to realize their goals in life. This is especially so because, so many young people give excuses as to why they haven’t achieved what they set out to accomplish in life. I believe that youth have a lot of potential to create the future they would want to see.
